Studio Winterich completed a major public art commission for Ellis Partners at their new hi-rise at the corner of Broadway and 12th Street in Oakland. Our work is along the storefront of this 18-story building designed by Gensler. Forty-four kiln-formed glass panels measure 11 feet tall by 45″ wide. Inspired by the geometry of an acorn cap (live oaks once covered Oakland), the glass walls span 91 feet along Broadway and 74 feet along 12th Street. Installation video: https://youtu.be/FLQmgQJ0bLI
