Approach

Public art sculpture proposal approved by the city of Palo Alto for the VMware campus on Hillside Avenue. The material is 5″ diameter stainless steel tubing with a light gray patina finish. The hefty tubing will be bent in sections at a 30″ radius and welded together. This piece is a continuation of an exploration of the salt ponds of the San Francisco Bay and fractal geometry. Scheduled completion is in 2017. Collaborative partners are Form 4 Architecture, Studio 5 Design Landscape Architects and Carol Dabb Art Consulting.
