Located on the campus of the Palo Alto Medical Clinic, this public art sculpture is a functional elevator enclosure. On the west side of the pavilion is a clear glass wall containing a prismatic window. With the help of sunlight, the east wall of the pavilion acts as a projection screen by capturing sunlight as it projects through the roof. At certain times of the day, the text “LIFT” is visible on the east wall facing downtown Palo Alto.
